The Yin and the Yang of Us

Day 12, 22 Days of Transformation, Thursday March 11th

The Yin and the Yang of Us

A very important part of the creative process is bringing the yin and the yang of us into a harmonious co-creative relationship. Whether we have a male or female body these are the feminine and masculine sides of our psyches, which together make up a larger whole and give birth to Love-in-action.

In our western culture balancing the yin and the yang is challenging because we have been so conditioned towards the yang: doing and achieving. Our whole culture is distorted in that direction and we have become separated from our inner deep soul nature and wisdom. The history of that separation has been traumatic and we may still carry the memories of suppression and punishment in our cellular memory so that when we now want to step out into the world in our full creative being, those memories are reactivated and cause fear.

Now we are re-learning and re-membering this wisdom and re-discovering the natural balance between inner and outer, being and becoming.

Here is how I described this disconnection and reconnection in  “Migration to the Heartland”

Once upon a time the whole Earth was Paradise – green, lovely, abundant, covered in trees, alive with birdsong and animals. We lived in tribes, simply. We took what we needed from the endless supply of earth and sea and gave thanks. We learned how to put back into the earth, to create more abundance. We never took more than we needed; nothing was wasted.

We observed the turning of the seasons, the times of plenty and the times of emptiness, the waxing and waning moons, the incoming and outgoing tides. We made maps of the stars and studied them. We discovered which plants could heal which fevers and how certain stones could lift our moods and help us to remember.

We prayed to our gods and goddesses and celebrated them through song and dance. We made pots from the earth and painted prayers upon them.

We took care of each other. The tribe was our family, the Earth was our home, beyond was mystery. There was no separation. Everything was One.

What happened to this Paradise? We were seduced by the lies of patriarchal culture into forgetting who we are and we gave up our power. We forgot cyclical time, the regenerative rhythms of the Goddess, the state of Oneness with Mother Earth, and we buried the intuitive knowledge of the soul like a guilty secret. The knowledge of our divinity became heresy, punishable by death. We stopped standing in our naked truth and became ashamed. We no longer saw ourselves mirrored back in the natural world; the world lost its magic and so did we. Earth became inanimate matter to be controlled and exploited, and we became isolated fragments of a fading dream. Fighting for survival in an unkind world, abandoning the Earth Mother in favour of developing our wills, we found ourselves at the mercy of a punitive, judging Father whose love we had to earn through obedience to the letter of his law. We served him by subjugating our wills to his rational and material plan and denying our longing for the ineffable. We were compensated by the illusion of security. Those who insisted on pursuing imagination and individuality were cast into the wilderness to survive as they might. The soul, the channel of creativity, interconnectedness, ecstatic union, and evolution, was crushed and denied. By our self-betrayal under the patriarchal order we came to believe not merely that we make mistakes but that we are the mistake.

Now Gaia is calling us home. She is getting ready to throw off this ignorance and give birth to something new. She is calling all her children to awaken now and help Her.

We alone are hindering our rapid evolution. The tribe is our vehicle. When we stand together in our naked truth, feet planted on the earth in a power stance, nothing held back, we become pure energy, total beingness.

We create our reality in every moment. As we drop our judgments, our lives change. We can move from self-criticism, negativity and withheld power to lightness, radiance and expressed power. To vibrate at a higher level is ecstasy.

The time is Now. It is time to drop our judgments, to reveal the lies, to take back our power, to remember we are sacred beings and make a deep commitment never to forget again.

We are the People of Peace and we are returning.

As we free and heal ourselves, we free and heal Gaia. She breathes with us, she longs for us, she pulls us into alignment with our soul’s purpose, which is to be at one with her.

My soul knows now, and in the past time, and in the beyond time, I am of the People of Peace and I am remembering.

Namaste,

Rose Diamond

    Hi Rose,
Thank you once again for the plucking of my heart strings with your words of poetic wisdom. We can’t be re-Minded too many times of the big picture of our Infinite existence and our connections with Gaia and All that Is. It has been oh too easy to forget and to be distracted as we walk our life paths. I am blessed these days with a direct focus on What Is for me, the next step in Following My Spirit in this portion of my walk on Earth, not knowing and Knowing it doesn’t matter at all what directions Spirit takes me in. I Am content to Be, in Service to All. Namaste’! Stevie

Thank you, Rose, for expressing so brilliantly the connect-unconnect-reconnect process that we all know. I also remember that we could communicate with everything,,,animals, plants, stones…every part of ourselves. I am excited that we are once again re-membering our Self and beginning to return to our true home.

    Yours in connection and love,
    Sue
