The Web of Life

Day 13, 22 Days of Transformation, Friday 12th March

Wow! That was an amazing session of community heart connection and heart sharing this morning. Rather than trying to capture it in my words I leave you with a short piece from today’s meditation and I invite you to share your own thoughts and impressions in the Reply box below. Thank you.

Back through time this web extends..mothers, fathers, our great grand-mothers and great-grandfathers. ..giving you your coloring and features…your gestures, your tone of voice…the web extends back through countless generations, through numberless ancestors we share…all the way back to those with gulls and wings..For it is of  star stuff evolving that we are all made in the flowing of time. We are each a jewel in this vast net that called us into being… Each of us an unrepeatable jewel, sparkling with awareness, reflecting the world.

This meditation is from one of my teachers, Joanna Macy, Buddhist scholar and Deep Ecologist, from her book, Coming Back to Life, Practices to Reconnect our Lives, our World, published by New Society Publishers

And here’s a short quote from the Adrienne Rich article I mentioned.

An honorable human relationship – that is, one in which two people have the right to use the word “love” – is a process, delicate, violent, often terrifying to both person involved. A process of refining the truths they can tell each other.

It is important to do this because it breaks down human self delusion and isolation.”

It is important to do this because in so doing we do justice to our own complexity.

It is important to do this because we can count on so few people to go that hard way with us.”

Adrienne Rich, from On Lies, Secrets and Silence.

I feel so blessed that I have more and more people in my life who are walking the path of truth and heart sharing.

A poem for seeing another and being present with them.
I see you – I am here. And the circle is joined.
Abundant blessing flow in from an overflowing heart.
    - Namaste

    Dance 101

    Letting the joy spill out
    Touching the horizon
    And going …. beyond

    In this moment
    And in this moment
    I bring Oneness appearing

    How do we dance
With star shine and golden rain
    Do you know the steps
    I’ll show you
    Then, you can teach me.

  2. Rose Says:

    Beautiful, thank you Richard.
